How to Rent a Pontoon Boat
Renting a pontoon with Vacation Pontoon Rental is simple and hassle-free! 🚤
📞 Step 1: Call to Book – Contact us at 260-701-2222 to reserve your preferred boat and rental date. Our team will help you choose the best option for your adventure!
📅 Step 2: Confirm & Prepare – As your rental date approaches, review the state boating regulations to ensure you meet all safety requirements. (Boaters in Michigan Born after June 30, 1996 are required to have a Boating Safety Certificate)
🚤 Step 3: Delivery & Enjoy Your Trip! – The day before your rental, we’ll confirm delivery details. On the day of your rental, we’ll meet you at the dock, go over safety instructions, and get you on the water hassle-free!

What to Expect Before & On Delivery Day
📅 The Day Before Your Rental
One day before your rental, our team will reach out to confirm the details of your booking. This includes your delivery time, lake, and boat launch location. If you have any last-minute questions or special requests, this is the perfect time to let us know!
📞 Confirmation Call & Final Details
Expect a confirmation call from your delivery driver within an hour (or sooner) of your scheduled rental time. They will verify the location, estimated arrival, and any final details to ensure a smooth experience.
🚤 Meeting Your Delivery Driver
Upon arrival at the launch location, you will meet your delivery driver. They will provide a quick overview of the boat’s condition, safety guidelines, and any important information before you set off on your adventure.
📸 Pre-Launch Inspection
Before launching, the driver will take a photo of the prop and text it to both you and Vacation Pontoon Rental for reference. You are welcome to take your own photos, but this step ensures clarity on the boat’s condition.
🛟 Safety & Orientation
Your delivery driver will walk you through basic safety features, including the location of life jackets, boat controls, and emergency contact information. This ensures that everyone on board is prepared for a safe and enjoyable experience.
🌊 Launch & Enjoy Your Day!
Once everything is set, the driver will launch the pontoon with the primary driver on board. Your group can then finish loading your belongings, get settled, and start your day on the water!
⏳ Returning Your Rental
Plan to return the boat on time at the agreed-upon drop-off location (usually the same launch site). This helps us manage multiple rentals efficiently. Your driver will perform a quick post-rental check to confirm everything is in order.
We understand that plans can change, so we offer the following cancellation policy:
14+ days before rental – Full refund of the rental fee + security deposit refunded.
7+ days before rental – 50% refund of the rental fee + security deposit refunded.
Less than 7 days before rental – Renter is responsible for 75% of the rental fee if the boat does not get re-rented (exceptions apply for personal emergencies or extreme weather) + security deposit refunded.
